Flashback Displacements @ VOODOO55, Berlin
What happens to an artist’s work and vision when they relocate to a different sociocultural setting?
“Flashback Displacements” is a group exhibition that took place at VOODOO55 pop-up art space in Berlin, which addressed reflections on migration and dislocation, nostalgia and memory from the personal vision of artists from different geographical regions, based now in Berlin. Ranging from experimental photography to sound art sculpture, performance to electronic media art, this exhibition would like to present the “flashback displacement” each artist has in their work when facing day to day life in a new place.
